FAQs

Being one of their most significant expenditures people typically have a many questions before makingany decisions , below are a few of the most commonplace ones…

Unless you’re a trained roofing professional, most roofing work should never be performed yourself. Additionally keep in mind that almost all manufacturers of products used in the repair of the roof won’t warranty those products unless a licensed professional performs the job. The other thing to keep in mind is that working on a roof may be very risky, so is it really worth jeopardizing your health in order to save money?

It would be great if we could give you a simple response to this question! But there actually is no single answer that fits all for every question like that. There are many unique products readily available and each one has its own merits and faults. To know which is the best roof for your home, you should have an expert come and check out your roof and they can make recommendations based on what they discover, your roof design, the climate you reside in and, of course, your budget.

It actually depends upon the kind of roof you have and what evaluations are required. Also, remember that we will be working outdoors in the elements, so if the weather isn’t good and we just can’t work on particular days then this will definitely add time to the task. A small home might take around a week or so, while more substantial commercial projects may be anything from a few weeks to a number of months. Just be sure your roofing company keeps you updated and you really should be fine.

Since your roof is always exposed to the weather, this means your roof is will degrade with time. The rate at which it breaks down will depend upon a range of variables. Those include; the grade of the initial materials that were used along with the craftsmanship, the level of abuse it will have to take from the elements, how well the roof is preserved and the design of the roof. Most roofing contractors will quote around 20 years for a well-built and well-kept roof, but that can never be guaranteed due to the above issues. Our suggestion is to always keep your roof well maintained and get regular checkups to make sure it lasts as long as possible.

You shouldn’t ever pressure wash your roof, as you run the risk of taking off any covering minerals that have been added to provide protection from the elements. Also, you really should stay away from chlorine-based bleach cleaning products since they can also diminish the life-span of your roof. When you speak to your roof cleaning specialist, tell them to use an EPA-approved algaecide/fungicide to wash your roof. That will eliminate the undesirable algae and yellowing without damaging the tile or shingles.

More About Hadley, MA

Hadley (/ˈhædli/ (listen), HAD-lee)[3] is a town in Hampshire County, Massachusetts, United States. The population was 5,250 at the 2010 census.[4] It is part of the Springfield, Massachusetts Metropolitan Statistical Area. The area around the Hampshire and Mountain Farms Malls along Route 9 is a major shopping destination for the surrounding communities.

Hadley was first settled in 1659 and was officially incorporated in 1661. The former Norwottuck was renamed for Hadleigh, Suffolk.[5] Its settlers were primarily a discontented group of families from the Puritan colonies of Hartford and Wethersfield, Connecticut, who petitioned to start a new colony up north after some controversy over doctrine in the local church. The settlement was led by John Russell. The first settler inside of Hadley was Nathaniel Dickinson, who surveyed the streets of what is now Hadley, Hatfield, and Amherst. At the time, Hadley encompassed a wide radius of land on both sides of the Connecticut River (but mostly on the eastern shore) including much of what would become known as the Equivalent Lands.[6] In the following century, these were broken off into precincts and eventually the separate towns of Hatfield, Amherst, South Hadley, Granby and Belchertown. The early histories of these towns are, as a result, filed under the history of Hadley.

4. Be sure the company is trustworthy by reading through reviews from their past clients. Consider checking with groups just like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to confirm that no major complaints are already filed against them.

5. Get all things in writing. Don’t simply take a contractor at their word. Instead, inquire further to present you with a written contract. Make sure both you together with the contractor sign the agreement. Have a copy for your self just in case any problems or disputes arise. A signed contract reduces the potential risk of misunderstandings and offers you legal protection when the contractor fails to adhere to through on their own promises.
